Biography

ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Akbar was a son of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and Zaynab bint Maẓʿūn, and a full brother of Ḥafṣah and ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar.
