Biography
Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Hishām al-Makhzūmī, whose given name is recorded as Muḥammad, was a Medinan jurist and hadith transmitter known as Rāhib Quraysh (the devotee of Quraysh). Biographical authorities describe him as trustworthy, a jurist, and one of the figures counted by some authorities among the seven jurists of Madinah. His mother is not entered because the evidence used here establishes his paternal line, not a maternal connection.
