Biography
Ādam (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ) is the first human being and the first prophet, created directly by Allah and placed in Jannah before descending to earth. During the Isrāʾ wal-Miʿrāj, the Prophet ﷺ found him in the first heaven, tall and huge in stature, where he greeted him: مَرْحَبًا بِالِابْنِ الصَّالِحِ وَالنَّبِيِّ الصَّالِحِ ('Welcome, O righteous son and O righteous prophet'). He is one of only two prophets (along with Ibrāhīm) who said 'son' rather than 'brother,' reflecting paternal pride.
Significance
Father of all humanity; his exile from Jannah and eventual return parallels the Prophet's ﷺ upcoming forced departure from Mecca and eventual return at Fatḥ Makkah
