Al-Ghaydaq ibn Abd al-Muttalib

Al-Ghayḍāq was a son of ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib, remembered for generosity and wealth. Many later genealogists identify him with Muṣʿab ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib and name Mumannaʿa bint ʿAmr as his mother; other reports identify al-Ghayḍāq with Ḥajl, a son of Hālah bint Wuhayb, so the identification remains disputed.
