Al-Harith ibn al-Simmah
الْحَارِثُ بْنُ الصِّمَّةِal-Ḥārith ibn al-Ṣimmah
Biography
Al-Ḥārith ibn al-Ṣimmah was an Anṣārī Companion from the Khazraj present at Uḥud. When Ubayy ibn Khalaf charged the Prophet (ﷺ) on horseback, having sworn years earlier to kill him, the Sahabah moved to shield the Prophet, but he declared "He is mine" and took up a small spear (ḥarbah) from al-Ḥārith to face Ubayy himself.
Significance
Provided the spear the Prophet (ﷺ) personally used to wound and kill Ubayy ibn Khalaf at Uḥud, the only pagan the Prophet (ﷺ) is known to have killed directly
