Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad

Al-Qāsim was the first child and eldest son of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and Khadijah رضي الله عنها. He was born before the revelation began. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم took his kunya, his honorific father-name, from al-Qāsim, and was known as Abū al-Qāsim. The boy lived long enough to ride a camel, perhaps six or seven years old, and then he died. Not a single narrative about his life has been preserved.
