Badhan

Bādhān was a Persian governor over the southern coast of Yemen, more trusted by Khusrau Parvez than the governor of Bahrain. When Khusrau received and tore up the Prophet's ﷺ letter, he ordered Bādhān to send spies to Medina to gather intelligence and, if possible, seize the Prophet ﷺ and bring him back. Bādhān dispatched two emissaries, Bābawayh and Khurkhusrah, with a letter as pretext. The Prophet ﷺ delayed them a day, then told them: my Lord has killed your master's lord, and his son has taken his place, a claim that proved true, since Khusrau had just been deposed and killed by his own son. When the emissaries returned with this news confirmed, Bādhān embraced Islam, as did his emissaries and large groups of the region toward what is now Oman.
