Fatimah bint Qays

Fāṭimah bint Qays was among the Companions who made both emigrations, to Abyssinia and to Madinah, and is therefore called ṣāḥibat al-hijratayn. She was completing her ʿiddah in another household when the call al-ṣalātu jāmiʿah went out from the masjid, the summons used to gather the Companions outside the times of prayer.

She went, stood in the women's row nearest the men, and heard the Prophet ﷺ, his face beaming, climb the minbar, tell the people to stay where they had prayed, and relate the account of Tamīm al-Dārī and the Jassāsah, striking the pulpit with his staff as he said: هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ, this is Ṭaybah, of Madinah. Her closing words are that she memorised the ḥadīth from the Prophet ﷺ. The narration is in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim through her.
