Biography
Ḥakīm ibn Ḥizām was the nephew of Khadijah رضي الله عنها and one of the nobles of Quraysh. It was he who, on Khadijah's instruction and with her money, went to the market of ʿUkāẓ and purchased the young Yemeni boy Zayd ibn Ḥārithah for four hundred dirhams, then brought him to Khadijah's household. He later became a Muslim and is considered a companion of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.
