Prophet Harun (Aaron)
هَارُونُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُHārūn Alayhi Salām
Prophet · Brother and assistant of Musa
Biography
Hārūn (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ) was the brother and prophetic assistant of Mūsā. When Mūsā was on Mount Sinai, Hārūn remained with Banī Isrāʾīl, who rebelled against him and worshipped the golden calf. He was rejected by his own people but eventually accepted back when Mūsā returned. The Prophet ﷺ met him in the fifth heaven during the Isrāʾ wal-Miʿrāj.
Significance
His trajectory, despised by his own people, then accepted back, mirrors the trajectory the Prophet ﷺ will follow with Quraysh; patience under rejection is the recurring theme of the Mi'raj
