Biography
Ibrāhīm (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ) is the highest-ranking prophet seen during the Isrāʾ wal-Miʿrāj, found in the seventh and highest heaven. The Prophet ﷺ said that physically no one resembled Ibrāhīm more than himself, and vice versa, they were essentially mirror images. Ibrāhīm holds the title Khalīlullāh (Intimate Friend of Allah), a distinction the Prophet ﷺ said is shared only between them two. During the Isrāʾ wal-Miʿrāj, he was seated with his back against Al-Bayt al-Maʿmūr, the celestial counterpart of the Kaaba. He welcomed the Prophet ﷺ with paternal warmth: 'Welcome, O righteous son and O righteous prophet.'
