Khunays ibn Hudhafah

Khunays ibn Ḥudhāfah was an early convert and the first husband of Ḥafṣah bint ʿUmar, whom he married when she was around eleven or twelve years old. He emigrated to Abyssinia with her and was among the small number of Muhājirūn, roughly seventy, who fought at both Badr and Uḥud. He was severely wounded at Uḥud, carried back to Madinah, and died shortly afterward from those wounds, a shahīd, though he did not die on the battlefield itself.
