Biography
A distinguished ancestor of the Prophet ﷺ among the descendants of Ismaʿil, renowned for bravery and wisdom; it is said pilgrims would seek to meet him during Hajj. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Allah chose Kinanah from the children of Ismaʿil, and chose Quraysh from Kinanah.” From his line came Quraysh.
