Salma bint Sakhr (Umm al-Khayr)

Salmā bint Sakhr, known by the kunya Umm al-Khayr, was the wife of Abū Quḥāfah and the mother of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq. She accepted Islam in the early period of the Prophet’s mission and was among the earliest members of Abū Bakr’s household to embrace the faith.
