Biography
Az-Zubayr ibn Abdul-Muttalib was an elder son of Abdul-Muttalib and an uncle of the Prophet ﷺ. When a merchant of Zubaid was cheated and could find no help in Mecca, it was az-Zubayr who roused the chiefs of Quraysh and convened them at the house of Abdullah ibn Judʿān to swear the Pact of Ḥilf al-Fuḍūl in defence of the oppressed.
Significance
The uncle of the Prophet ﷺ who called Quraysh to the covenant of justice, Ḥilf al-Fuḍūl.
