Musab ibn al-Zubayr

Muṣʿab ibn al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām was a son of al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām and a leading figure of the Zubayrid cause. He served his half-brother ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Zubayr as governor of Iraq during the Second Fitnah. His mother is not recorded here because the evidence used for this entry establishes his paternal line, not a maternal connection.
