ʿUbayd Allah ibn Jahsh, a cousin of the Prophet ﷺ, was one of the four Ḥunafāʾ who sought the religion of Ibrahim. He embraced Islam and migrated to Abyssinia, but there turned back to Christianity and died upon it; his widow Umm Ḥabībah afterwards became a wife of the Prophet ﷺ.
Significance
One of the four seekers of the Ḥanīfiyyah; husband of Umm Ḥabībah before she became a Mother of the Believers.
