Biography
The son of Qusayy, whose given name was al-Mughira. Known for his handsomeness and leadership, he was entrusted with many responsibilities even in his father's lifetime and was beloved among Quraysh. From his son Hashim descended the Banu Hashim.
Significance
Through his son Hashim came the Banu Hashim, the clan of the Prophet ﷺ.
